Cinnamon Rolls (WW Freestyle friendly!)

That’s right, cinnamon rolls! Now, I’m not going to fill you with lies and tell you these taste exactly like cinnamon rolls, because the don’t. But, they do give you that sweet, cinnamony, treat that you might crave. At only 2 points per roll, completely worth it! (pic doesn’t show correct glaze)

1 cup self-rising flour

½ cup Fage Plain non fat Greek yogurt (add a Tbsp at a time until right consistency. I had to add 2 more Tbsp.)

½ Tbsp Splenda brown sugar

½ Tbsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp Splenda

1 Tbsp Land O’ Lakes light butter w/canola oil

1 Tbsp whipped cream cheese

2 tsp powdered sugar

¼ tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, & Splenda in a bowl and set aside

I used a round glass pie pan – use what you have. Spray generously with butter spray.

In bowl, combine flour & Greek yogurt. Add additional yogurt as needed. Knead dough until combined.

On a floured surface, roll out dough, fairly thin

Spread butter on dough, then evenly sprinkle cinnamon mixture.

Roll dough into log. Cut into even rolls.

Place in baking dish. You can brush some egg wash on top it you like. Spray butter may also be good.

Be sure to place pan in the center of the oven. Bake for approximately 15-30 minutes until done. Cooking time varies. Start at 15 minutes and increase in 5 minute increments as needed.

Mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Use a little bit (seriously, just a drizzle) of warm water to thin out. Pour over cinnamon rolls and enjoy!!

Makes 12 rolls

Points: 2 per roll

Personalize it! You could completely switch out the butter in the recipe for one you prefer, possibly even lowering points. Use Stevia instead of Splenda.

Check back for updates. This is a recipe will definitely be one I continue to perfect.
